on 4/25/12 at 9:13pmSaving my spot. I did.
**Oops I forgot this post lol.
Mine is an inadvertant murder. And kinda long, I will try to keep short:
I work in an ER. We had a lady come in that was slowly getting worse, altered level of consciousness.
Her two daughters were so nice, meek, helpful, sweet. The woman had just had recent heart surgery I believe it was. She was on certain meds that come with that, like blood thinners. She had a few weird bruises, like on her chin. Daughters said they didn't know why.
Then came dad. He was a brute. Mean and rude, yelling at all our staff, saying the wife was faking it and he was trying to take her home. He would press his body up on the daughters and yell. They cowared. This went on for a few hours.
It was obvious then that he was abusive to the kids. One person knew the family and attested to the abuse as kids.
But mom slipped further, couldn't say a word and we ended up flying her out.
We'll never know the end of the story, if she even lived. With no one to talk about it, we can't prove anything.
Ultimately- he prolly hit her so bad her head was bleeding inside. And the blood thinners stopped it from clotting. It's easy to see he could have gotten away with murder but it's all speculation. :((
