on 4/11/12 at 11:56pmWe pay something like $189 bi-weekly, I think. I don't pay much attention. 2 adults, 2 children (his plan is the same price regardless of number of members though). $0 deductible. Co-pays are $10 for a regular office visit, $30 for a specialist, $50 for ER. Well baby check-ups and yearly paps are $0 co-pay. 100% coverage after co-pays.

on 4/11/12 at 11:58pmYeah I don't pay one penny for health care, not even prescriptions. I am so worried what its going to be like when we have to start paying out of pocket for things like that.

on 4/11/12 at 11:58pmThat seem reasonable. How much do precriptions cost you?

on 4/12/12 at 12:05amAlmost identical : ) 2 adults, 2 children, about $400 a month, $0 deductible, $20 copay for all office visits, $50 for ER visits, $5 generic prescriptions, $10-15 for name brands. $20 dental copay, two cleanings a year, not sure what the copay is if we need dental work done? 50% off glasses and contacts once a year.

on 4/12/12 at 12:08amI wish we had dental!
We have vision, but I really can't remember all the details. Exams are free once per year, and I think they give something like $75 towards either frames or contacts once per year. Lenses for glasses are free unless you're like me and have to pay extra for thinner lenses cause you're practically blind, lol.

on 4/12/12 at 12:31amHaha, same here!! I used to pay a billion dollars for them because I'm legally blind uncorrected. SO's coverage is great though. I also pick and choose which insurance to use when I get certain prescriptions because I also have mandatory student insurance from my grad school, and really common stuff (ibuprofen, z-pack, stuff like that) are free. Sweet!
